Earlier this year, Civica, in collaboration with the Institute for Public Policy and Governance at the University of Technology Sydney, released the new edition of their Changing Landscape Report: The Intrinsic Value of Libraries as Public Spaces. This edition expands the research outside Australia and New Zealand to include Singapore and the UK.
The report focuses on how libraries are offering both physical and online spaces to engage with their communities. As a result of this hybrid service offering, libraries are thinking through the user experience, what users want from new technologies, and preparing the staff and leaders within libraries to be proactive innovators in delivering a digital-savvy strategy.
